Sacred Heart of Jesus Original Catholic Illustration, 5.5 x 8.5"

$200.00

“Behold the heart which has so loved men that it has spared nothing.” — St. Margaret Mary Alacoque

What started as a sketch turned into a unique work of art. I originally began this drawing looking to experiment with some new pens and sketch out an idea for a drawing of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. In the end, I fell in love with this beautiful and unusual take on the traditional subject of the Sacred Heart. The mix of warm and cool colors, the texture of the pen strokes, the movement of the vines, the softness of Jesus’ gaze… all come together in such a lovely way. And not to mention that I added the Immaculate Heart of Mary and the Most Chaste Heart of Saint Joseph to the stained glass windows!
